Being on the front lines takes it’s toll, whether you’re working the call center managing the first contact, a humanitarian aid worker, the nurse in the ER or the first responder to the scene of an incident, unprocessed experiences can take a toll on not only our professional lives but our personal ones as well.

In jobs that require focus, perseverance, and quick decision making that impact lives, there’s no room for error. Unfortunately, trauma and stressors can slow down our processing and focus, cause us to lose motivation, making any situation or conversation a potential threat, and can trigger that fight/flight/freeze response quicker than we can control.

Dealing with stressful and sometimes traumatic incidents can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. I offer EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, and other targeted, solution-focused therapies to help those first on the scene recover from incidents and to get back confidently out in the field. I also provide longer term therapy for people managing more complex problems and symptoms.
