THERAPY WITH LYSSIA

My job is a listener, but it’s a listener that’s actively engaged in helping my clients piece together narratives and to support them in making sense of their stories. Our history can create complicated thought patterns, difficult emotions to carry, and beliefs about ourselves and the world that can hold us back and keep us from living the lives we want to live. It’s my job to use the tools and techniques I have to help you make sense of it all and live into the story of your life.

My approach to therapy is warm, non-judgemental and collaborative as I aim to support each individual striving to make positive changes in their lives and move through difficult times. With a belief that internal resources are already within each person, I focus on cultivating and strengthening what is innately in each person to support them in realizing their goal for themselves, their families, and their lives.

I draw from a number of evidence-based approaches to support, educate, and empower the individual needs of my clients, including EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.  I am passionate about blending the latest neuroscience with empirically based and well-researched theories to support my clients. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach, but that with committed and experienced professional support, it is possible to move forward and to heal.

Whether you are looking for solution focused, short term therapy to manage more acute concerns or more extensive therapy for complex challenges, we will work together to find the right path forward for you.
